This year I have greatly improved on my writing. At the beginning of the year, my blog posts were not as developed as they are now. I used short sentences, and some of my sentences were repetitive. I was also vague and non-descriptive. To improve this, I have learned to expand my ideas and thoughts. Expanding my vocabulary as well as ideas has allowed my thoughts to be better expressed and helped my not use the same words. Another thing I have learned is time management. Managing my time is important in all subjects and not just writing or English class. This can help improve having to rush your thoughts down onto a page. I have also learned that I am not the best at using commas. Using commas is a challenge for me, but I have been working to change this. One thing I have done is put my work through a website called Grammarly. This will alert the writer when there is comma mistake and how to fix it. This year made me realize the areas of writing that I am good at or bad at.
